Is Anything Free in this World Anymore? May 10, 2008

Sometimes you get the feeling that there just isn’t anything free in this world anymore, right?  It seems that every day we are dealing with hidden fees and charges, rising gas pricing, falling stock prices, scams, the weakening U.S Dollar, more work, less pay, tighter budgets, shrinking profits, “increased costs of doing business”, housing crunch, etc.  The list goes on and on.  It’s hard enough to keep our head above water, much less even think about saving money or taking a vacation, and you can certainly forget about any chance of getting something for free, right?  Is anything FREE in this world anymore?

Of course there is!  iwiLetter.com (send real letters, write online) is offering a free month of service during the entire month of May.  It’s our Memorial Day Mail Call Just visit iwiLetter.com/Military and type your letter.  We’ll print it on reclyced paper, stuff it, stamp it with a first-class stamp, and mail it anywhere in the U.S. (including U.S. Soldiers currently overseas) within 24 hours, for FREE!  It’s our way of saluting the U.S. Military and their families this Memorial Day, it’s our Memorial Day Mail Call!

Memorial Day Mail Call

There are even sites online that profile tons of free stuff each and every day!  Check them out:

http://www.TopSavings.com (formerly called TotallyFreeStuff.com)

So clearly, there are things that are still free.  Take advantage of them!

However, this all comes at a very sad and strange time when something critically needed is being offered for free, but is not being accepted.  The U.S. and U.N. are eagerly trying to freely give aid and resources to the people of Myanmmar who desperately need the help after suffering from a catostrophic cyclone.  Their government however does not currently appear to be accepting or allowing this aid and help to reach the people in desperate need.  Of course they must have their reasons, it’s just frustrating to think something is free and readily available, yet the “should be” accepting party is not interested.

In recognition of Memorial Day, on May 1, 2008 iwiLetter.com will launch our “Memorial Day Mail Call” campaign (http://iwiLetter.com/Military), which offers U.S. Military personnel and their families iwiLetter.com’s letter writing services free of charge during the entire month of May 2008, plus the chance to win one year’s worth of free letter writing services. iwiLetter.com makes letter writing convenient by allowing users to type a letter online, and then handling the rest: printing the letter on recycled paper, placing it in a recycled envelope with a first-class stamp and mailing it through the U.S. postal service within 24 hours, including letters to U.S. Soldiers overseas.

“We wanted to do something special for military personnel and their families this Memorial Day.  Despite the ease and speed of e-mail, military personnel still need old-fashioned letter writing, whether it is for love letters, official business letters that demand formality or simply an appreciation for the art of letter writing. We just make letter writing and delivery more convenient.”

During the entire month of May 2oo8, our standard $2 fee per letter will be waived in recognition of Memorial Day. To enter for a chance to win a free year of iwiLetter.com services, military personnel should visit http://iwiLetter.com/Military and or just click on the “Memorial Day Mail Call” banner on the top of the homepage for details. The winner will be notified via e-mail on June 1, 2008.

In addition to the convenience of iwiLetter.com, the website offers the benefit of speed. Military personnel stationed overseas often wait weeks for letters to reach their U.S. destination. But iwiLetter.com mails the letter within 24 hours from within the U.S. – ensuring a prompt delivery.
